Good to know

Is a signed IOU legally binding?

A signed IOUEZ agreement is a clear written record with both signatures and timestamps. In many places that helps a lot if there is ever a disagreement, but IOUEZ is not a law firm. For large amounts, check the rules where you live.

Does the other person need the app?

They need a free IOUEZ account to sign, but not necessarily the app: they can sign in any browser with the web app. Until they join, you can still keep the IOU as your own record.

Is it really free?

Yes. Personal IOUs, signatures and reminders are free forever. Pro adds installment plans and an ad-free app for $4.99 a month.

Who can see my agreements?

Only you and the person you share an agreement with. Data is encrypted in transit and you can delete your account at any time.

Does it work offline?

Yes, in the Android app. Changes are saved on your phone and sync automatically when you are back online.

Which currencies are supported?

US dollars by default, plus euros, pounds and many more. Each agreement keeps its own currency and totals are shown per currency.

Your next IOU, done right.
