Record a payment

Add a payment to an agreement when money changes hands. On a shared agreement both people see it at once.

IOUEZ doesn’t move money. When money changes hands (cash, bank transfer, a payment app), record it on the agreement so the balance stays right.

Record it

  1. Open the agreement.
  2. In Payments, choose Record payment.
  3. Enter the Amount and the Date.
  4. Choose the Method: Cash, Bank transfer, Mobile wallet, Card, Check or Other.
  5. Optional: a Reference (like a transfer number) and Notes.
  6. Save.

The balance, the progress bar and the status update right away. On a shared agreement the other person sees the payment too, and either of you can record it.

Tip: Record payments on the day they happen. Then reminders, balances and the weekly summary stay accurate.
