How payments count toward installments

You record payments the usual way; IOUEZ works out which installments they cover.

The rules

• Payments count toward the next unpaid installment, in order.
• If you pay more than one installment, the extra carries forward to the next one.
• If you pay less, that installment shows Part paid until the rest comes in.

What you see

The Installments card lists every payment with its due date, amount and status (paid, part paid or open).

Reminders

On shared agreements, reminders go out for each installment: the day before, on the day, and once when it is late. See Automatic due-date reminders.
