A group keeps track of shared costs, so everyone sees who owes whom.
Who can create groups
Creating a group is part of the Pro plan and higher plans. Anyone can be added to a group, whatever their plan. If your plan doesn’t include groups, the Groups page shows Upgrade to create groups, and you can still join groups others create.
Create one
- Go to Groups → New group.
- Give it a name, for example “Austin trip”.
- Choose the currency. Every expense in the group uses it.
- Under Who’s in it?, add people from your contacts, or add someone who isn’t in your contacts as a guest.
- Choose Create group.
You are in the group automatically. People linked to their IOUEZ account see the group in their app; guests are people you keep track of for them. See Guests, members and leaving a group.
Good to know: Only the person who created the group can change who is in it or its currency.
