Why terms lock after both people sign

Once both people sign a shared agreement, the amount, currency, interest and due date can’t change.

When both people have signed a shared agreement, IOUEZ locks its money terms so that what you both signed stays true.

What locks

  • Amount
  • Currency
  • Interest rate
  • Due date

What you can still change

  • Description
  • Category
  • Notes
  • Payments: you can still record and delete payments.

Need different terms?

Agree on the new terms together, then create a new agreement and sign it. If the old one should no longer count, you can delete it; see Edit or delete an agreement.

Tip: Set up an installment plan before you both sign. After signing, the schedule can’t be added. See Set up an installment plan.
